Treatwell
Product design work on Treatwell Connect - salon management solution for hair and beauty businesses. My remit was broadly ranged - from guiding newly signed up partners through the setup and onboarding, to helping salon owners and receptionists efficiently manage their business (by creating new functionality and/or improving the current one).

What is Treatwell
Today, Treatwell is the largest hair and beauty bookings website in Europe. It's an eclectic group of 500 people working in offices throughout Europe, with over 25,000 local partners.
It amounts to one amazing company: a 24/7 beauty bookings platform that puts customers and salon managers in control, lets you book at times and prices that suit you, and gives you all the style know-how you need to look and feel amazing.

Treatwell is split into 2 products:
1. Treatwell Marketplace (customer-facing)
2. Treatwell Connect (salons-facing).
What is Treatwell Connect
Treatwell Connect is a cloud-based appointment management solution for hair and beauty businesses of all sizes. Key features that allow users to manage their business include:
-
client bookings (Direct, via Marketplace or via Social media (Widget)
-
custom permissions for team members,
-
building an online presence (Treatwell profile, portfolio and look books, verified reviews), and
-
automated marketing emails (CRM & automated campaigns)

The solution also offers a native mobile application for iOS and Android devices.

Treatwell Connect lets users create and manage bookings and automate notifications for confirmations, reminders, and rebooking invitations. Salon staff can make and modify appointment bookings on behalf of clients. The solution allows businesses to set access permissions for employees based on job roles while users can print receipts when billing clients.

The solution offers services on a monthly subscription basis - partners need to pay the monthly subscription fee & a commission.
Design responsibilities
At Treatwell, I was mostly working with Treatwell Connect, and at a core, I was responsible for the user experience of the solution.

I used different facets and tools of design to create and execute a solution that solves a user’s experience deficiencies.

Not to forget, user problems are only one part of the equation - the other side is business objectives. As a product designer at Treatwell, I connected these two by providing solutions that work both for the business (Treatwell) and for the user (Partner or a Salon owner).

To connect these dots, I conducted user research - both interviews and surveys provided journey maps, drew wireframes, prototypes (with moving bits & pieces), and delivered high fidelity screens.

Not to forget - output is not equal to the outcome. If an artifact does not provide any value, it can basically mean nothing. Thankfully, the product shipment process at Treatwell was suited for the outcomes and solving objectives, not only with shipping features.
During my time at Treatwell, I have mostly worked on:

-
Calendar & appointment cards redesign (after the merge of UALA & Treatwell companies)
